I actually revisited the white guy because the first one had way too many irks in it. The skin was wrong and i didn't like the Background competing for attention. So, I wiped the painterly style and settled for clean flats and mild gradients. I also changed the tag to "Score" .... because who DOESN'T want to, I say?! The previous version is down one of the older posts if you want to compare and let me know which aspects are better.

The masking tool and Gradient tool in Photoshop are now my eternal allies. I have yet another way to avoid using Illustrator..

Actual characters from the Southern California Renaissance Pleasure Faire in Irwindale. Their official names: Bolt Upright (left) and Gianni Vespa (right). The name of their show: Bold and Stupid Men. Sadly, they have disbanded to pursue other ventures, so i have produced some fan art for them. 20hrs give or take a couple more as I referenced their costumes heavily.

My Celtic unicorn prince. I want to do more of him. He was made for my studio drawing class. A little background for him:

He's the young prince of a very elegant, refined kingdom. He's very refined and demure himself. He speaks softly and has, generally, a feminine way about him. One night while having one of their numerous parties, the palace is invaded by a lesser neighboring kingdom. An aggressive, tribal, amazon city infiltrates the party to pillage their bounties... yes pillage. During the chaos, the prince is hidden and shuffled out of the kingdom to save him. He switches places with a court dancer and his bodyguard helps him escape. Seeking to hold the prince for ransom, the invaders send hunters after him... naturally, in my mind, a series of adventures would unfold. heehe.

This is a redraw (not a tracing) for an ID for my DeviantArt account. The photo was of me in the back seat of me boyfriend's brother's car. We were coming home from a "Smith Family Reunion" up in Ione which is in northern California. It was an 8hr. drive up there and a 13hr. drive back... I KNOW!! we had to take the scenic route through Frisco and along the coast through L.A. to get back to Riverside. At this point in the photo we were going through San Fancisco, when i was still in good spirits. By the end of the trip I was literally crawling out of my skin.

the finished product. "Talu" means "speech" or "speak" or "talk" in old english i think. i remember seeing it in dictionary.com. It seems to fit a unicorn character whose mouth is covered and hands are bound so she couldn't even do sign language.

Poor Old Peter

This was part of a group project in one of my design classes. The concept was "twisted fairytales" or "demented Disney." I was enthralled and created this scenario. "Poor Old Peter" is a take on Peter Pan Syndrome. The illness is where the physical body is unable to grow past a certain age appearance, but i took it to a mental state. A man unable (or unwilling) to grow up.
